Lummi Island Wild

Lummi Island Wild

Bellingham, WA

What makes Lummi Island Wild different is simple: we prioritize quality over scale, relationships over shortcuts, and stewardship over everything. This is a difference you can taste. Literally. Our salmon have higher fat content which equals a better flavor and texture. Gentle harvest methods mean no bitter lactic acid, just the cleanest flavor. Taste isn’t luck. It’s how wild seafood is caught, cared for, and handled from ocean to pan.

At the center of our work is Reefnet fishing, a centuries-old method rooted in Indigenous tradition and practiced today by just 1 fishery in the world. It’s not the fastest or easiest way to fish, but it is the cleanest, most ethical way to harvest wild salmon.

That approach defines everything we do. We work directly with tribal, local, and independent fishers who share our standards: respect for the fish, respect for the ocean, and respect for the work. These crews know their waters, understand their seasons, and fish with deep knowledge passed down through generations. It’s a level of care you can taste, and a level of integrity you can trust. Because the way seafood is harvested matters. And we believe you can taste that difference.
