
The Wonderland Project
Founded in 2010 by wine broker and former sommelier Matt Ahern, The Wonderland Project brings a fresh, thoughtful perspective to California winemaking. Collaborating with some of Sonoma’s most respected organic grape growers, the project focuses on crafting expressive Chardonnay and Pinot Noir that embody the essence of the Sonoma County appellation.
The grapes are sourced from organically farmed vineyards in Carneros and Sonoma Valley—regions known for their cool climates and vibrant fruit. Fermentations rely on native yeasts, and cellar work is intentionally restrained, allowing the wines to develop with minimal intervention. This low-intervention philosophy highlights the natural character of the fruit and the distinctiveness of place.
The Wonderland Project is a celebration of California—its vineyards, its people, and its potential. With every bottle, Matt Ahern and his team aim to tell a story of authenticity, balance, and respect for the land, capturing a sense of wonder in each glass.
