Mutti
Parma, Italy
Mutti selects only the highest quality tomatoes, picked at the very peak of ripeness, to create their remarkably fresh-tasting line of all-natural, non-GMO, shelf stable tomatoes with no additives or preservatives. Their tomatoes are primarily grown in northern Italy, in the Emilia-Romagna region, and additional varieties are grown in the south in Puglia and Campania. Each tomato is picked, delivered, and preserved within hours of its peak ripeness to maintain the freshest possible taste and terroir qualities.
Since 1899, the Mutti family has shared their passion for everything that goes into their tomatoes—the sun, soil, rain and the heart of their people in Parma, Italy. The most important factor for Mutti is a single-minded focus on quality. The company invests heavily in the quality of its raw material, working with its network of farm partners to cultivate flavorful tomato varieties and paying above-market prices for the best of the farmers’ annual crop. Their farmers work in harmony with the environment, respecting integrated production regulations and a four-year crop rotation. Mutti partners with the World Wildlife Fund of Italy and the Euro-Mediterranean Centre on Climate Change to reduce its water footprint, limit its CO2 emissions, and improve efficiency and the use of renewable energy from farm to fork. The company is also committed to protecting biodiversity through several additional initiatives set up with WWF.
