The Shasta Gold Mandarin is a triple-hybrid of the Temple tangor, the Dancy mandarin and the Encore mandarin. Developed relatively recently (2002) at the UC-Riverside citrus breeding program, the Shasta boasts a tangy, juicy and seedless flesh. For those of you into high-acidity mandarins, this one should do the trick.
