Stone Valley Farm has deep roots in California. Our family has been involved in agriculture in California since the 1800s with our ranches in Northern California. Art Anderson’s great-grandfather, Albert Stone, primarily raised cattle and walnuts in and around Alamo, California.
Today we focus on raising Berkshire hogs. The higher fat content and the accompanying depth of flavor make the meat especially tasty and succulent. We believe that happy pigs are tasty pigs. Our pigs are raised in open-air, deep-bedded barns with ample space to roam.
The pigs are raised with only a vegetarian-based diet; no hormones or antibiotics and of course, no animal proteins or animal protein by-products are ever used. This all-natural approach is the foundation of Stone Valley Farm.
