The Ya Li is an Asian Pear variety that has a traditional pear shape. This pear is best eaten fresh out of hand but can be substituted for regular pears in many recipes. The Ya Li Asian Pear has a crisp, fine-textured flesh that is sweet and juicy and is somewhat softer than other Asian Pears.
