Wild Alaskan Sockeye Salmon Filet (Frozen)

Sockeye salmon is known for its bright red color and tasty firm flesh. They are great for grilling, frying, baking or slow-roasting in the oven.

This year, Sea to Shore Seafood Co.'s Wild Alaskan Sockeye Salmon was harvested by a collective of fishermen from Bristol Bay, Alaska. With this year’s poor Sockeye return in Southeast Alaska compared to the flourishing sockeye returns in Bristol Bay, it was the responsible option to help alleviate pressure on the Alaskan local sockeye runs to outsource their sockeye.

The sockeye salmon were sourced from fishermen who participates in a “Buy Back” program, where the processors allow fishermen to buy back a percentage of the years catch to sell individually, to help the fisherman generate more revenue. The bountiful Bristol Bay fishery is closely monitored by the Alaska Department of Fish and game and is the largest return of sockeye salmon in the world.
