The name linguine means "little tongues" in Italian. Slightly narrower in profile than fettuccine, the rounded edges and extra thickness provide an added chew that stands up to thick and creamy sauces. Pair with seafood or sautéed greens for a classic yet easy to prepare meal.

Recommended Preparation—Bring a large pot of salted water to a rolling boil. Cook the pasta for the recommended 10 minutes, stirring occasionally. Drain thoroughly and rinse with cold water to stop cooking. Alternatively, and for a better result, drain the pasta a minute before and finish cooking in a pan together with sauce.
