We love Ritual's seasonal rotating espresso offering. The current offering is Ship to Shore a blend of 33.3% Cartago, Colombia 33.3% Yanatile, Peru and 33.3% Kirisimbi, Rwanda.
He had nothing to lose. William Bovee’s New York City roastery had been consumed by fire. A few dark and icy weeks later, he stepped aboard the creaky SS Apollo. It took 9 months to make his way to the Golden Gate where he built the first roastery in the Wild West. It would become Folger’s, the largest roastery in the country. Through serendipity, Apollo was permanently moored and became the first coffee shop in city. Ship to Shore is a tribute to Apollo and Bovee who made San Francisco a coffee town in 1850.
About the components: Ahoy! Journey around the world with this invigorating espresso blend. We begin our voyage in Rwanda with Kirisimbi's tart medley of fruit - cranberry, plum, and blackberry. We then set sail for Colombia where Cartago livens up the mix with pineapple, nectarine and floral notes. Finally, we dock in Peru where Yanatile anchors the blend from stem to stern with a chocolatey, velvety even keel. We think you'll love the cut of this jib; bottoms up!
Ritual has been a pioneer in this delicious shift in coffee consciousness since we opened our doors on Valencia Street in 2005 and started what some call a coffee revolution in San Francisco. Our goal then--and our goal now--was to craft the very best cup of coffee available anywhere. Period. We've learned a lot over the years, but the care and attention we lavish on our process is unchanged, including tasting every coffee several times before it goes out to our coffee bars and into your cup.Read more
