Marinated Labneh

To create this award-winning Mediterranean soft cheese, Brush Creek Creamery makes yogurt with pasteurized cow's milk and drains it through cheesecloth until the texture is thick and perfectly creamy. It's spiced up with fresh garlic, parsley and salt, then shaped and stored in olive oil with peppercorns, fresh herbs and dried red pepper. Delicious on pita bread and crackers, or as a dip for vegetables. Be sure to save the oil—it makes a great salad dressing or dip in its own right.

This cheese won first place at the 2016 American Cheese Society awards.
