Craving for a fresh tasting curry with authentic flavors without the hassle of shopping for ingredients and making them?

Akka's Curry Paste is the simple solution! Made with 16 ingredients including fresh tomato, onion, coconut, ginger, garlic, curry leaf, turmeric, coriander, and spices is easy to use. This is inspired by my mother who used to make a curry paste before we went on our annual pilgrimage to a distant village when I as growing up in India. We bring this product to not so distant Silicon Village San Francisco, for everyone's enjoyment.

All you do is brown 2 lbs of chicken breast or thigh meat. Transfer the full jar of curry paste to the pot. Add two cups of liquid - chicken broth, coconut milk, or water, and 1 lb of chopped vegetable like potato, carrots. Bring to boil and simmer for 15 minutes until chicken is cooked. Serve with rice, nan, paratha, or bread with a spoon full of Akka's Mango Chutney in the side.

To make vegetarian curry: chop and boil three cups of vegetables like potatoes, carrots, green beans, cauliflower in water. Add three to four tablespoons of curry paste to the vegetable and simmer for few minutes. Serve with rice, chapathi, paratha, or bread with a spoon full of Akka's Meyer Lemon Relish in the side.

About The Producer

Akka's Handcrafted Foods

Akka means elder sister in Tamil, my native Indian language. My older sister, when visiting from India, used Meyer Lemons from our backyard to make a traditional South Indian style pickle. The authentic flavor and the distinct preservative-free taste of the homemade condiment drew many followers. Meyer Lemon pickle was the seed that my Akka planted that bloomed into Akka’s Handcrafted Foods. We continued to grow by adding chutneys, simmer sauces, and marinades.Read more
