Scar of the Sea

Founded in 2012 by Mikey and Gina Giugni, Scar of the Sea is a Central Coast winery rooted in a deep reverence for the ocean, the land, and the people who farm it. Based along California’s coastline, the winery draws inspiration from the daily presence of the sea—from the morning fog that rolls over vineyards to the rhythms that shape life along the coast.

Scar of the Sea focuses on regenerative farming and natural winemaking, working only with growers who share their vision of long-term land stewardship. Their wines are made with intention and care, using native yeasts, minimal intervention, and a commitment to expressing the specific site and vintage.
