Reelie is a Colombian-American, family-owned snack company on a mission to create food that does more than satisfy cravings. Founded in 2014, the brand believes the foods people choose should benefit their health, strengthen communities, and support the planet. Through thoughtfully crafted tropical snacks and a commitment to responsible sourcing, Reelie is working to create positive impact from farm to table.
The company's journey began with family. When Maca—a daughter, sister, and cousin within the Reelie family—was diagnosed with an autoimmune condition, the team took a closer look at the ingredients in the foods they consumed every day. Already operating within the snack industry, they saw an opportunity to create products made with cleaner, higher-quality ingredients that could better support healthy lifestyles. Originally founded as Artisan Tropic, the company evolved into Reelie, a name inspired by the idea that Real People + Real Food = Reelie Good.
Today, Reelie crafts plantain and cassava chips using carefully selected ingredients and planet-friendly practices. All Reelie chips are Certified Gluten-Free, Non-GMO Project Verified, Certified Seed Oil Free, Certified Glyphosate Residue Free, Certified Kosher OU, Grain-Free, and free from the top 12 allergens, providing consumers with snacks they can feel good about enjoying.
Beyond creating better snacks, Reelie is committed to building a more sustainable agricultural future. Since 2021, the company has partnered with farming experts in Colombia to develop a resilient and regenerative supply chain. To date, 95 hectares of farmland have transitioned to regenerative practices, with a goal of expanding the model to more than 400 smallholder farms by 2030.
