Proudly feeding the world the healthiest protein on the planet since 1941, Pacific Seafood manages all parts of the supply chain from dock to dinner plate. This ensures fresh, high-quality, sustainable seafood that can be traced directly back to the source. Pacific Seafood specializes in west coast species like sustainable Pacific Rockfish, Petrale Sole, Wild Salmon, and Columbia River Steelhead.
It was 1921 when Frank M. Dulcich Sr., Pacific Seafood’s founder, arrived in Portland, Ore., from Croatia. He immediately got a job cutting fish for a fellow Croatian immigrant, but soon saw the opportunity to fulfill his own American Dream. He began buying fish on the Oregon coast and selling it in the Portland area to smaller fish shops and restaurants. By 1940, he was joined by his son Dominic, and the next year they opened a modest facility on Powell Street called Pacific Fish & Oyster that served as a fish shop and housed their local distribution operations.
Today, Pacific Seafood remains family owned and operated. Still headquartered in Clackamas, Ore., they have grown to employ more than 2500 team members across 40 facilities in three countries (United States, Canada, and Chile), selling products across the U.S. and the world.
Pacific Seafood are unwavering in their commitment to provide their customers with the freshest, highest-quality, most sustainable products possible. Pacific Seafood are committed to responsible practices in all areas of their business from their coastal communities and team members, sustainable fishing methods and traceability, food safety standards, and to the environment.
Pacific Seafood offers nearly 50 certified sustainable species, in addition to 25 certified sustainable facilities, and a certified sustainable steelhead farm.
