OH MY GUM! is a visionary confectionery brand founded by Malak Ben Hmeda, a former luxury fashion and beauty recruitment professional who sought to disrupt the traditional chewing gum industry. Driven by the alarming discovery that mainstream gums are often made from the same plastics used in tires and glue, Hmeda spent over a year developing a sustainable, plant-based alternative. By reviving the use of natural chicle—a biodegradable tree sap from the Mexican sapodilla tree—the producer has successfully replaced synthetic plastics with a clean, eco-friendly base that aligns with modern environmental values.  

The brand distinguishes itself through a sophisticated "beauty-meets-confectionery" aesthetic, intentionally moving away from traditional snack packaging. Each product is housed in chic, spill-proof, and plastic-free boxes designed to look like a high-end cosmetic accessory one would proudly carry in a handbag.
