Mekhala emerges from a heartfelt desire for quality, natural products, born out of founder's personal journey and dedication to creating healthier options for families. Founded by Daphne Hedley & Diane Wong, Mekhala began its journey at a vegan retreat in Chiang Mai, Thailand, with the vision of offering clean, flavorful, and easy-to-use Asian-inspired products.

Inspired by the culinary heritage of multicultural Singapore and fueled by the founder's frustration with artificial additives and preservatives in store-bought Asian products, Mekhala's journey began. Together with her sister Diane, Mekhala's Chief Sauceress, Daphne embarked on a mission to develop a range of clean-label, organic, and plant-based Asian-inspired food products, honoring the memory of their late partner Jang with vegan recipes.

At Mekhala, authenticity and sustainability are at the core of everything we do. Sourcing beautiful ingredients from local farmers, our female-led Thai team meticulously crafts each product in our own facility in Chiang Mai. Every Mekhala product is organic, plant-based, clean-label, and free from gluten and nuts, ensuring a delicious and wholesome culinary experience for all.
