Love and Chew

Love + Chew Brands (formerly CompletEats) was founded in 2018, when founder Lauren was introduced to a plant-based lifestyle by her stepmom. Based off her stepmom's vegan and gluten-free recipes, the first version of the Love + Chew cookie was born in Lauren's small San Francisco apartment kitchen to meet her own needs: a plant-based, nutritious and tasty snack for on-the-go, breakfast, or afternoon pick-me-up. After sharing the cookies with friends and family and receiving positive feedback, Lauren began growing her business by baking small orders for tech companies in the Bay Area. Eventually, she decided to find a manufacturer to produce her cookies at a larger scale, where you can now find her cookies in retailers and multiple large technology companies' snack programs. Inspired by the rich environment of the Silicon Valley, Love + Chew continues to search for more ways to make their business sustainable. They source as local as possible and when purchasing imported products, buy only the highest quality and fair trade ingredients. Additionally, Love + Chew uses 100% recyclable boxes and cookie films that contain a minimum of 20% PCR. As a WBENC-certified woman-owned business, Love + Chew hopes to create a platform geared towards women who are looking to make healthier decisions everyday. By producing a protein cookie that is made with only plant-based ingredients, they hope their products help towards making that first step.
