Our Arrabbiata (or "Angry") sauce incorporates a medley of fresh vegetables, dried aromatic herbs, and a healthy dose of red pepper for a beautiful, well rounded flavor. Enticing to spice lovers and more mild types alike, our Arrabbiata adds bold flavor to any dish- we especially love it with shellfish like mussels and shrimp! 

Made locally in on the central coast of California, Ilvento’s Proprio Italiano uses all natural ingredients and no preservatives of any kind. It all started in 1933 at the repeal of prohibition when Joe Ilvento, an immigrant from Grassano, Italy, opened Ilvento’s Restaurant in Jersey City. Joe’s son, Pete became well known for his wonderful tomato sauces. Now, Pete’s son and granddaughter, Joe and Juliana, continue the Ilvento’s tradition by doing a small batch production of these classic Southern Italian style sauces. This product is hand made, bottled and labeled assuring the highest standards. 80 years of Sunday dinners later, we hope you enjoy this traditional family recipe!

This is a vegan product that has no added artificial preservatives or sugar. Our products contain no dairy, shellfish, nuts, soy, or wheat.
