Funaro

The vineyards of Funaro are situated in the village of Santa Ninfa. The warm climate makes it an ideal location for producing Sicilian “country wines.” Funaro began as an entrepreneurial project led by the 3 Funaro siblings - Tiziana, Clemente, and Giacomo in 2003. Deciding to capitalize on the grapes grown in the vineyard for the past three generations, they dedicated themselves to using modern and traditional organic farming techniques. Becoming certified organic in 2011, they use natural fertilizers and green manure, never any pesticides. Their goal is to share the history and culture of Sicily to the rest of the world.
