Far West Cider was founded in 2016 by the Chinchiolo family as a part of Chinchiolo Family Farms, a 4th generation family farm located in San Joaquin County, CA. They set out with the intent to find a use for some of the fruit that did not make a top cosmetic grade needed for sale in the fresh apple market. Typically this product would be sold in bulk to apple juice plants or even worse, discarded altogether for lack of market appeal. They believed there was another path in creating hard ciders from this fruit and set off to learn all they could about how best to create a farm-to-bottle hard cider. 

Steven and Alex Chinchiolo operate and manage the family farm in the central valley and Adam Chinchiolo runs the cider production facility in the city of Richmond CA. Steven and Alex bring a combined 50 years of agricultural experience to our family farm, constantly developing and implementing new methods and techniques required to build a successful and 
Adam brings 10 years experience as an amateur brewer to the cider business with a goal of transforming the fruit from the family farm into some of the finest food-friendly, farm-to-glass ciders currently made in the bay area.
