Brooke McDonnell and Helen Russell began roasting coffee in a garage in Marin County, California, in 1995. Focusing on quality, sustainability, and social responsibility, they've grown their team over the decades to include more than 100 employees. Certified B Corp in 2011, Equator officially recognized its role as part of a global movement to include social impact and ethical supply chain in their success metrics. From the communities of farmers who grow their coffee beans to their local cafe locations, Equator is dedicated to producing a delicious cup of coffee with positive social impact.
