A winter-spiced, black currant mixer that pays homage to the Nordic Holiday tradition. This can be used for mulled wine, cocktails and zero-proof drinks.
To make traditional Nordic mulled wine:
1 bottle (375 ml) Aurora Glögg
1 bottle (750 ml) full-bodied red wine such as Merlot, Zinfandel or Cabernet
1/2 cup slivered or sliced almonds (for serving)
1/2 cup raisins (for serving)
Shake Aurora bottle well. Combine Aurora and red wine in a pot and bring to a simmer, do not boil. Ladle the hot glögg into small mugs. Serve with almonds and raisins if desired.
Ingredients: concord grape juice from concentrate (water, concord grape juice concentrate, ascorbic acid), cane sugar, blueberry puree, black currant puree (black currants, water), spices.
