Altamont Beer Works
Altamont Beer Works was founded in 2012 by brewer Steve Sartori, becoming Livermore’s first craft brewery since Prohibition and helping spark a thriving local beer scene. Nestled between Napa Valley and San Francisco, the brewery has grown from a small taproom to a beloved regional brand known for fresh, hop-forward beers and a welcoming community atmosphere.
Altamont’s lineup features standout West Coast–inspired brews like Maui Waui IPA—a tropical, smooth beer with notes of guava and mango—and Hella Hoppy Double IPA, alongside a rotating roster of seasonals, collaborations, and specialty releases. Their beers strike a thoughtful balance of bold hop character and drinkability, appealing to both traditional and adventurous beer drinkers.
Beyond brewing, Altamont Beer Works is deeply rooted in community, with a lively taproom, dog-friendly outdoor space, and regular events and collaborations.
