Abbot's Butcher's Spanish Smoked "Chorizo" is plant-based and full of flavor. Made with pea protein, tomato, garlic, and paprika, this "Chorizo" is zesty and provides subtle heat without being too spicy. You will not find any added sugars, preservatives, or artificial colors in this meat alternative, but it does provide 15 grams of protein per serving. Its versatility allows it to be used with any meal of the day - for breakfast in scrambles or burritos, or dinner in empanadas or enchiladas.
If frozen, defrost before cooking.
Skillet: Warm a couple tablespoons of oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add "Chorizo" and saute until slightly browned and warmed (165 F) throughout - about 6 to 8 minutes.
Oven: Combine "Chorizo" with a tablespoon of cooking oil and spread evenly, in a thin layer on a prepared baking sheet. Cook for 10 minutes at 400 F.
