Yvonne's Southern Sweets

Yvonne Hines is the owner, baker, and namesake of Yvonne's Southern Sweets. A mainstay of the Bayview-Hunter's Point neighborhood, she's been dishing up outstanding homemade southern sweets since 2003. It's a family legacy of delicious food and sharing, inspired by her late grandmother Vermell Hines. 

Yvonne began cooking and baking at home with pralines, a pecan confection originating in the South. They were so delicious and fresh that demand rapidly outstripped the capacity of her home kitchen, so she moved into her storefront in the Bayview (which recently celebrated its 10th anniversary, in 2016!) and began scaling it up. She now offers a wide range of other Southern specialties, including her famous "Old School" butter cookies. Made with love, real ingredients, and tradition—what could be sweeter?
