Jackfruit is native to Asia. It is recognizable for its spiky exterior and notable for its many stages of maturity, each of which yields a different texture and flavor. Our young, green Jackfruit has a texure similar to that of shredded meat and is available pre-seasoned and ready-to-eat. We season with a tangy Bar-B-Que sauce, this Jackfruit makes a great sandwich topped with a cabbage slaw, in a salad or wrap, or over rice. For a sweeter sauce, add brown sugar, agave or maple syrup.
Pan Fry: Remove product from pouch, place in pan over medium heat with a small amount of oil (optional) and cook for 5-7 minutes or until thoroughly heated, stirring occasionally. For finer shreds, break up in pan.
