Unique Pretzels
The Spannuth family started baking hard and soft pretzels way back in the late 1800s. Their name comes from their βUniqueβ baking process: they would let raw pretzels set before baking, so that when the set dough met the hot oven, air bubbles would form. Those hot air bubbles would burst open as they heated up, leaving bubbles and crevices that were crispy, crunchy, and full of flavor. They named these split-open pretzels βSplits.β Now in their 6th generation of pretzel-makers, the Spannuth family still uses their original Unique recipe. Theyβre proud to produce high-quality pretzels using only their knowledge of the baking process to achieve fine flavors and texturesβno unnecessary ingredients or additives, just serious pretzel flavor and crispy crunch.
