Umpqua Oats was founded by two mom-turned entrepreneurs out of their home kitchens in Oregon’s Umpqua Valley, which is where they were born and raised and what they named the company after. Disappointed by the mushy and boring oatmeal options at the time, they set out to create an all natural, great textured oatmeal. They chose to employ a custom milling process for their oats, which gently rolls and cuts thick whole grain oats for an al dente texture and satisfying bite. This allows faster cooking and higher satiation. Never using bleached oats, fillers or preservatives, Umpqua Oats stays committed to using simple, non-GMO ingredients. Their add-ins are all premium and sourced as domestically as possible. They furthermore make the conscious choice of using freeze dried fruits in their oatmeal because of the high nutrition retention rate. What started as a small venture has now spread beyond Umpqua Valley, where they can now be found nationwide in coffee shops, retailers, and Alaskan Airline flights. Designed to make mornings easy, their oatmeal can be enjoyed by people of all ages.
