Kayla and David first met at the Ferry Plaza Farmers Market. Both had been learning, independently of one another, about the crippling effects of food waste from farmer friends. Knowing the issues of our local food shed were a microcosm of much deeper institutional flaws, Ugly Pickle Co. emerged out of responsibility to mend these broken links in our food system. They source peak season produce from organic California farms, and are proud to be totally plant-based, 1000% natural, and super duper sustainable. Ugly Pickle is their vision for a radical future of food in which they support farmers, end food waste, and care for the planet. By offering delicious, sustainable alternatives, they give consumers the ability to take climate positive action every day.
