Cofounder CC started Troop because she was intrigued by the ways in which something as simple as a cocktail could bring people together, shaping and elevating how people gather with the community. As a consumer, the drink options she had often lacked transparency and promoted unhealthy behaviors. What she wanted was a drink with high-quality ingredients and that encouraged positive social relationships. As a female in a male-dominated industry, CC couldn’t recognize herself or her friends in any of the drink options out there, so she set out to create a better drink and a better way to socialize. This approach -- higher ABV, real ingredients, and a savor-not-chug mentality -- is in many ways the opposite of what the industry is doing, which is exactly what helps Troop stand out and find loyal Troopers. All of Troop's cocktails are made with spirits, fresh-squeezed citrus juices, herbs, and botanicals. They don't use any artificial flavors or preservatives. They blend all of the cocktails in Napa, CA -- one of the country's premier regions for wine and spirits. Troop sources the majority of their ingredients from California, including the fresh-squeezed citrus juices, herbs, and botanicals. Each cocktail is gluten free and vegan and comes in at only 125-130 calories with 2-5g sugar per can. At Troop, they are on a mission to create a better way to socialize with a better drink.
