For custard, nut, and crumble-topped pies, fill the frozen pie shell and bake as per your recipe’s instructions. For cream pies, bake the pie shell at 375 for 30-40 minutes until it is fully baked and is a deep brown—we recommend lining it with parchment paper or aluminum foil and filling it with pie weights or dried beans, for the most perfect bake. Allow the pie shell to cool completely, then fill with pastry cream and refrigerate.
