The Slanted Door's Hoisin Sauce is inspired by the fresh hoisin sauce Chef Charles Phan tasted in Vietnam. The Slanted Door's rendition is made to be more flavorful and unique than the commercially made sauce. It is typically used as a condiment for pho but can be used in other recipes that call for hoisin.
Ingredients: dark soy sauce (water, soybeans, salt, wheat flour), tahini (100% sesame seeds), honey, rice vinegar (water, invert sugar, brown sugar), sesame seed oil, garlic, black pepper, spicy fermented bean paste (chili, soybean, salt, vinegar, sesame oil, sodium benzoate).
