The cool climate—tempered by the Mokelumne River and Pacific breezes—allows for slow, balanced ripening that preserves the grape’s natural acidity and depth. Fermented with native yeast and gentle pump-overs, then aged for 10 months in neutral barrels, this Sangiovese offers bright aromas of ripe red cherries, strawberries, and anise. On the palate, juicy strawberry and red plum meet a subtle earthiness. Medium-bodied with fine, integrated tannins, it’s an approachable yet structured take on a classic Italian varietal.
