SunFed Ranch was founded as a partnership between two ranching families, the Byrnes and the Donatis, both deeply rooted in the foothills of the Sacramento Valley and the rangeland of the Klamath Basin between Mt. Shasta and Crater Lake. They're committed to upholding the traditional farming methods and maintaining the heritage of the local farm communities that they grew up in.

Partnering with family ranchers, SunFed Ranch raises the highest quality grass fed beef possible in a way that sustains the land, the cattle and their families’ ranching businesses for the long term. Cattle are born and raised in those open spaces, adapting to natural weather patterns to raise premium quality grass fed and grass finished beef year-round. At SunFed Ranch, the team knows that proper livestock handling is not only ethical but also supports the cattle’s health and well-being, resulting in the safest, highest-quality beef. Cattle are raised in a low-stress environment with room to roam each day of their lives and access to abundant grass and water, and the SunFed processing plant has also successfully passed a strict humane handling audit.
