Stehly Farms Organics

Stehly Farms Organics is a small, family owned company that grows, packs, and distributes certified organic avocados, citrus and berries.

Located in Valley Center, CA, Stehly Farms Organics is both owned and operated by brothers Jerome & Noel Stehly. The farms harvests acreage across northern San Diego County, including a 300-acre ranch which has been farmed by the Stehly (pronounced Stay-lee) family since their father purchased the land over 50 years ago.

Nestled in the hills of Valley Center, the 278 acre Stehly Ranch was founded in 1964 by Jerome Stehly Sr. What began as a chicken farm rapidly evolved into one of the largest organically producing avocado and citrus farms in Southern California.  In 2002 Noel and Jerome Stehly acquired the property and founded Stehly Farms Organics. To this day, Stehly Farms continues to grow and develop. 

Biodiesel and wells are just the beginning of how they try to remain ecologically sustainable. From seed to table, they utilize many technologies in their commitment to the environment.  Solar panels power their ranch office and their entire packing operation. Biodiesel is used in their tractors, road trucks and personal vehicles wherever possible. Any fruit or veggies that do not get sold fuels their organic compost and mulch program, and they always aim for overall sustainability.
