Bodega Sierra Norte

Bodega Sierra Norte was founded in 1914 in Valencia, Spain as vineyards to sell grapes to wineries. They now farm four vineyards across the regions of Valencia, Murcia, and Albacete. Manuel Olmo is the owner and managing director of Bodega Sierra Norte, not to mention the grandson of the founders. He converted all of their vineyards to Certified Organic in 1999, and the winery began making wine from their own grapes the same year.

This family-owned winery has a strong focus on organics, supporting the local college's agricultural program with organic studies on their vineyards. They also have a strong affinity to their native grape, Bobal, which ends up in many of their wines.
