Vanilla Baked Apple

While trying to replicate one of our favorite childhood desserts, we came up with this new pie! We start with tart apples from Hidden Star Orchards, and slow-bake them in butter, brown sugar and vanilla bean. These baked apples are then covered with tightly woven lattice. Delicious and beautiful!
