All the goodness of caramel-y, chocolate covered matzah without the effort of actually *making* caramel from scratch, thanks to our friends at Recchiuti.


4-6 matzah sheets

Recchiuti Burnt Caramel sauce

14 ounces semisweet chocolate chips

Flaky salt, for finishing

Step 1

Spread enough caramel sauce over the sheets of matzah to cover. Place in the fridge or freezer for 30 minutes to an hour, or until set.

Step 2

Sprinkle the caramel-covered matzah sheets with the chocolate chips. Melt the chocolate under the broiler just until the chocolate is spreadable. Using a butter knife, smear the chocolate until it completely covers the caramel layer. Sprinkle with flaky salt.

Step 3

Refrigerate the matzah for 2 hours, or overnight, until the chocolate has completely set.
