Six green-tipped Bananas, totaling approx. 2.25-2.75 lb
We've heard from hundreds of you that you'd love for us to offer Bananas, and we're proud to now offer a very different kind of banana than what you'll generally find at the supermarket.

These Organic and Fairtrade Bananas are grown by the San Miguel de Brasil Cooperative in El Oro, Ecuador are many things: they're a perfectly healthy on-the-go snack, they're a naturally sweet base to your morning smoothie, and if all else fails, they're the frozen inspiration behind your next batch of banana bread. For all the things these bananas can be, we decided early on in our search for an ethically-grown banana that one thing they will never be is a product of the prevailing global banana industry that has both historically and even recently wreaked ecological, social and political havoc in regions of the world in which bananas grow.

The 134 small growers of the Cooperative work together to pack, market and ship their bananas directly to international buyers, which allows them to receive a higher price for their fruit and have more control over the process than going through one of the larger banana labels. These bananas are Certified Organic, Global GAP Certified and Fairtrade Certified by Fairtrade International.
