Riverdog spinach has a deep green color and a springy, crisp texture that makes it perfect for a fresh salad or sandwich topping. It has a sweet flavor that melts in your mouth! Not to mention, its hearty leaves holds up in most recipes that call for spinach—from soups and dips to lasagnas and quiches! Compared to baby spinach, the stems in these bunches give this green a great texture when sautéed.
Our 250-acre organic farm is located just outside of Esparto, where rich creek-bottom soil, intense summer heat and winter frost make exceptionally tasty fruits and vegetables. Using certified organic production practices, we cultivate a variety of lush vegetables and fruits year-around. We are proud to raise hogs and meat chickens as well, which roam our pastures, forage, and eat organic feed. We believe that the most wonderful part of farming is having access to both abundant, fresh, pesticide free foods and open space.
