Grown for its gorgeous deep purple (almost black!) flowers (and not for it's fascinating pods--also known as Starflower) this Scabiosa variety is a perfect for darkening the tone of a bouquet or in standing alone in a vase.
To care for these flowers, trim the stem and place in a vase of water. Trim stem and change water daily for maximum shelf-life.

In an industry that's moved almost exclusively towards Southern Hemisphere imports, often in countries where labor standards and controls for use of toxic chemicals aren't nearly as regulated as they are in the United States, especially in California. We're proud to work with local flower growers to maintain and grow this region's rich history in floriculture.Read more
