We are excited to introduce Yoni Levi as the next featured chef in our Chef's Blend series.Yoni is the Executive Chef at Outerlands in the Sunset District of San Francisco, and has a very thoughtful, whimsical and vibrant style to his cooking.
"For my collaborative blend with Nana Joes, I decided to combine buckwheat, thyme, hazelnuts, sesame, and dates because I love each of these ingredients. They are great in both sweet and savory dishes, and at any given time, you will find many of them on my menu at Outerlands. I grew up eating a ton of Middle Eastern and Jewish food and these ingredients play an important role. You might think, 'Why the thyme?', well, it's because I have an intense relationship with it. I use thyme as a tool because it offers everything from a rich depth to a bright freshness in a sauce or vinagrette or dessert or in this case a granola blend!" - Yoni Levy
