Organic Fresh Edamame

Compared to the frozen Edamame found in most grocery stores (and generally imported from China), this Organic Fresh Edamame grown by Janet, Akira and the crew at Hikari Farms has a flavor and texture that'll make it almost an entirely different bean.

These fresh pods can be steamed and salted or boiled in salty water for a few minutes for a classic preparation. Or, for even more flavor, parboil, then finish them off by sautéing them in a sauce of soy sauce, maple syrup, rice wine vinegar, and Aedan Fermented Foods' Miso.

HOW TO PREPARE FRESH EDAMAME

1. Boil 3 cups of water
2. Add 1/2 Tbsp salt
3. Place edamame in boiling water and blanch for 2 minutes.
4. Drain boiling water and rinse immediately with cold water.
5. Enjoy!
