Yellow onions are the workhorses of the allium family. With rich flavor and a subtle, aromatic sweetness that increases when cooked, these are one staple you won't want to be without. Dice them for a mirepoix to make broth and soup, quarter them to stuff your turkey, or slice and add them to any roasting pan for an extra boost of flavor. As a bonus, they can be substituted for any other type of onion (white, Vidalia, red) your recipe might call for.
These Yellow Onions were grown by Desert Sun in Washington and Oregon and brought to us by our friends and neighbors at Washington Vegetable.
