Foraged Morel Mushrooms

Perhaps the best known, most anticipated, and most nostalgic of all North American wild mushrooms. The elusive and legendary morel is the particular darling of Midwesterners, though they grow throughout the country from Washington State to Florida. Nothing compares to their steak-like flavor -- there really is no substitute. Their springtime season is brief, and attended with cult-like reverence, but thankfully these rich, smoky dried morels manage to preserve the mighty morel mushroom all year long.
