Le Jouet

Domaine Des Enfants' Le Jouet (meaning "The Toy")is the winery's experimental cuvée, it's blend and style changing slightly from vintage to vintage. The current release is a blend of 40% Grenache, 40% Lledoner Pelut, 10 % Carignan, and 10% Syrah. 30% of the wine underwent whole cluster carbonic maceration before being blended into the rest. It was fermented in cement tanks utilizing indigenous yeast and kept in cement tanks for 12 months until bottling. With bright and potent aromas of berries and pepper, on the palate are intense characters of blackberry, plum, licorice, and coffee, with hints of soil character. Pair with middle eastern spiced meats, saucy bbq, or roasted wild mushrooms.
