Even if you’re an avid convert to the spiralized craze, you probably haven’t tried zucchini spirals quite like this. Baked onto a white pizza, they add freshness and color (and are just plain fun to eat). Makes 3 servings.
Ingredients:
1 ball pizza dough (enough for one 12-14” pizza), thawed at room temperature for about an hour
8 oz mozzarella, cut or torn into chunks
8 oz Joyloop zucchini spirals
Ricotta
Basil
You probably have:
Olive oil
Chile flakes
Salt
Instructions:
Step 1: Preheat oven to 500ºF, or its maximum temperature. Stretch and roll out the pizza dough on a floured surface until it’s about a 12-14” round, and lay it on an upside-down baking sheet or pizza stone. Drizzle with olive oil and a sprinkle of salt, and layer on zucchini spirals, whole basil leaves, mozzarella, and dollops of ricotta.
Step 2: Bake pizza for about 15 minutes, or to your desired level of crispiness.
Step 3: Add another drizzle of olive oil and few more pieces of fresh torn basil. Serve with chile flakes—if you’re into a little heat.
Contains: milk, wheat.
