Trim the base of the romaine, chop the leaves into ½-inch wide strips, rinse to remove any grit, and dry. Thinly slice the cucumber(s). Cut the tomato(es) into bite-size wedges. In a bowl, combine the romaine, cucumber(s), and tomato(es), drizzle with the ranch dressing, season with salt and pepper, toss to coat, and serve.
