This DIY Classic Red Sangria combines flavorful autumn fruit with Moulin de Gassac's Guilhem Red, an aromatic and earthy red blend. Pro tip: prep this in the morning before work, and it'll be ready and waiting for you to enjoy when you get home. Create your own spin on the genre by swapping in your favorite fall fruit, from pears to persimmons and beyond.
What You Get
1 bottle Moulin de Gassac Guilhem Red wine
1 pint strawberries
1 lb crisp, firm apples
1 ct Navel Orange
Slice up about half of the strawberries, apples, and oranges. Set the rest aside for snacking on as you drink!
In a pitcher or large bowl, mix the wine with the sliced fruit and add sugar a bit at a time to taste (or leave it out entirely according to your preference). Chill the pitcher in the fridge for at least 3 hours or up to a day.
Make a slit in each of the remaining strawberries. Pour sangria into individual glasses with ice, scoop in a few slices of sangria-infused fruit, and top off with sparkling water. Garnish each glass with a strawberry (the slit should fit nicely over the rim) and enjoy.
