With a rich and nutty flavor, this hearty whole grain is an ancient relative of modern-day wheat. High in fiber and a good source of iron and protein, Farro is a great addition to stews, casseroles, salads, and other dishes that otherwise call for brown rice. Minimally processed in a traditional manner, Bob’s Red Mill Farro has been lightly scratched to help release starches and quicken cooking time.
Basic Preperation: 1 cups Organic Farro to 3 cups Water or Stock. Rinse and drain Farro before preparing. Combine with liquid in a medium sauce pan and bring to boil. Reduce heat to medium-low and simmer for 30 minutes. Fluff with fork and serve.
